so check it out.... if you look at the blue dot with the red signal strength bars, you may think that it's a different way to display that. and when you look under the "T-Mobile", you see "sullyville". Hm. what's that all about, you ask? at the current moment, that phone is not operating on a GSM cellular network. it's operating solely on a WiFi network; specifically, the network in my house!
we launched the hotspot@home a few months ago, and i have to say that the commercials for it have been really lame. basically, if you get poor service in your house, and have a wifi network, you can have kickass coverage in your house! there's way more to it, but overall, it's kickass. i have to say that the clarity of the calls placed on a wifi network is better than a cell network, and that's kickass as well. so yeah, just thought i'd share.
i think our firemen are REALLY into the holidays.
so, here's azlan/aslan - i haven't decided how we're gonna spell it yet. the proper spelling is with an s, but who knows. we learned that he can catch. it's awesome.
i think it's safe to say that the moviemaking acorn has not fallen far from the tree.
so i happened into the local guitar center and saw this on a table with a few other guitars marked for clearance. it was $499, but marked down to a cool c-note. i plugged it in, ran through paranoid and god of thunder, and seized the moment. check it, yo!
i'd never played a schecter before, and while i'm not going to run out and buy more of their stuff, the fit and finish of this instrument is great, and i've always been a fan of the sexy time inlays. :)
some of you have heard me talk about my uncle sully, who was like the older brother i never had (when i really needed one). he's a really big hearted guy who's funny as hell, and introduced me the the magic that is social distortion. he's also director of white house communications. yes, that white house.
anyway, a local chicago newspaper called the daily herald just ran an article about him that really made me smile. my uncle sully rules, and i was really proud to see such a nice article written about him. so much so that i thought i'd share it with you:

while i am by no means a fan of our president, the experience that my uncle sully is having is nothing short of amazing to me. i just hope that when the president's term is up (can't wait for that one), my uncle will move back to the area.
