in early 1992 i saw an ad announcing a limited edition jackson rhoads. it was to be a replica of the original jackson guitar that was made for randy; a white v with black pinstripes. this was my favorite guitar of his, and i was so excited to read that this guitar would be made available to the pubic.

i moved back form hollywood a few months after i saw this ad, and when i got home, i learned that a friend of mine who was a jackson dealer had a few of them. there was one problem; i was fucking BROKE! thankfully, my dad helped me with a bank loan, and 2157.40 later, the guitar was mine. this magical event took place on june 24th, 1992. here's the receipt:

while it was a rare, collectable guitar, it was my main guitar for years. i have some video with me playing it that i will add when youtube updates. aren't you excited?

i sold it in 2003 to someone who later sold it (without giving me the opportunity to buy it back, which happens sometimes) to someone overseas. i kept in touch with the owner, and when he wanted to sell it, he got in touch with me. this was march of 2007. 3500.00 later, it was home. sadly, with some shipping damage that you can see here:
