so we knew that aslan liked to catch treats, but the boy worked with nico a bit and she likes to catch flying treats now as well. good times!
i've mentioned in the
past that i played in a kiss tribute band for fun back in 2001 - 2002.
it was a lot of fun at times, and something i enjoyed doing, for the
most part.
my band was scheduled to play at a kiss convention at the evansville,
indiana holiday inn (where calling dr. love was written, oddly enough)
on june 8, 2002,. i was kinda looking forward to it because it had been
awhile since we'd played a show, and these things are usually a good
time. of course, robbin died that thursday and i wasn't sure if i was
going to play the show or go to california to help with whatever i
could. i decided that playing the show would be a better way to go, so
that's what i did.
i decided that before we played "shock me" (ace's song) i would honor
robbin with a moment of silence. someone that was in the crowd (which
was pretty small) videotaped the show and sent me a copy. i finally got
around to converting it to a digital format, and i edited it a bit. i
mentioned his passing before the song, and when it was time for the
solo/spotlight, i stuck a little bit of "round and round" in with what
i was supposed to be playing. so here's some snippets of it. all in
all, it was a pretty bad show, but here ya go.
and along with the "what's new" motif, i have a lovely ear infection. what am i, eight? ugh.
